Over at LOTV the challenge this week is Aqua and White. Over at Simon says Stamp Challenge you have to use punches or dies. I was asked to make a Christening card for a friend and this is what I came up with.

I have embossed the snowflake folder from Cuttlebug and punched around the edge with a Martha Stewart Snowflake around the page punch. The image is Penny Black coloured with Promarkers and he has been glittered with Glamour Dust. The image is mounted onto a Spellbinders die. The gems are from Papermania, the ribbon is from stash and the sentiment is a diecut from LOTV. It fits the Penny Black Challenge as the background is embossed and you can feel the ribbon and the stones, I hope I got the idea lol.

I made this card earlier following the sketch over at Sketch Saturday and then realised that it would also fit in over at Sir Stampalot March Challenge, Cute Card Thursday and Wild Orchid Challenge.

I had my lazy head on today and decided to try the Pick of he Day I liked a while back on Create and Craft. Its a great acetate Christmas kit and you can make up to 40 cards really quickly. I managed to make two cards today, the first one is for the challenge over at Sketch Saturday. They have a really lovely sketch to follow and here is my effort.

The image is from Stampavie and it is a Penny Johnson stamp coloured with Promarkers and glittered with Stampin Up Glitter. The papers are Fancy Parts. The image is stamped onto one of the new Spellbinders, I really like this one. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and the gems are from Kars. Across the middle is the snowflake border punch from Martha Stewart but as usual with my photo skills it is hard to see.

Now onto the second card. I follow Kaths Blog and her cards are amazing and I really liked one of the cards that she done at her workshop yesterday. Of course I didn't have the same trees but I used Anita's instead. I hope she doesn't mind me stealing her idea. Here is my card.

I coloured parts of the trees with promarkers and glittered everywhere else lol. The sentiment is from Papermania and it is stained around the edges with Antique Linen distress ink. Thanks Kath for the idea.

I haven't been feeling very well recently so cardmaking was out of the question, but it didn't stop me buying stash lol. I purchased some Lily of the valley christmas stamps and had to try today and make my first christmas card. It took me hours because I'm still not 100% but I had to give it a go.

I have entered it into the Lily of the Valley Challenge , which was a sketch to follow. Here is my card

The image is so cute and he is coloured with Promarkers, it is one of their new stamps for Christmas. His hat and snowflakes are glittered but I still can't take good photos. The papers are the new Papermania Silent Night and the scalloped card is from Craftwork Cards. The sentiment is a stamp but the name has gone from my mind ( that happens often lol ). The poinsettas are from last years stash. I hope you like it and hopefully this is me on the road to cardmaking again.

I made this card today for a friend who is turning forty next weekend.
I used papers from Brenda Pennick, the plain papers are basic grey and I have used the Martha Stewart Doily punch across the middle. The name is done with the Jasmine cricut cart aswell as the numbers. The flowers and gems are from my stash.

Oh i can't believe it, I won the 12 new distress from The Stampman. I don't win things to often so I couldn't believe it when I seen my name in lights. Sorry to everyone else ( I always feel guilty when others don't win lol ) but I can't wait to get them now. Thanks to The Stampman for running the competition.

Easter Basket

My son has a raffle in school every Friday to win Easter eggs etc. and the money goes towards Trocaire. I made these Easter baskets today from a resource tutorial on Splitcoaststampers. The chocolate rabbits are from Lidl. I hope the children will like these as a change from the chocolate egg.

Simon Says Stamp Challenge this week is vintage with flowers. I haven't done vintage before so I hope this fits. The flowers are the stamp which is by Impressions Obsessions.This week over at Papertake Weekly they have provided a sketch for us to follow. This is my take on it.

The papers are Anna Griffins , the image is coloured with Prismacolours. The lace which is hard to see is from my stash and the sentiment is from Personnel Impressions. The card down the middle has been sponged with Hero Art Rose shadow ink and a fiskers heart border punch has been used down each side. The pearls are also from stash.
My photos are very hard to see, sorry about this but I have no idea how to take photos for the blog so any help would be greatly appreciated. I have zoomed in and out, changed windows, used paper behind etc etc still no luck!!!! Everyone elses are really close up and very clear. HELP!

This is my card,

I have used Basic Grey papers called Lizzy Kate, which are new ( new to me that is lol ). The image is Penny Black coloured with Promarkers. I have used a Martha Stewart punch on the green paper. The ribbon is gingham from my stash as is the buttons and the butterfly.
For the Simon Says Challenge there is 3 embellishments ( buttons, ribbon and butterfly) , 2 papers ( green paper is hard to see) and 1 image. I hope you like it.

I managed to make a card today which can be entered into three challenges. The first one I am going to enter it into is Quixotic Challenges. They want you to ink up an old stamp. Well I hadn't used this Penny Black stamp for ages and my sister in law had a baby boy yesterday, so what better excuse to use this baby stamp.
The other challenge was Carol's Sketch Fun, she provided us with this sketch

The papers are Heidi Grace as are the sentiments. The stamp is Penny Black and is coloured in with Promarkers.

My Dad asked me to make him a Christmas card to give to my Mum, so I made this one. The challenge over at Simon Says Challenge is to use charms on your card, so this one fits in well.

It is hard to make out as I cant seem to get the camera to take a good photo ( lol easier to blame the tools ). The snowflakes are Spellbinders Createa Flake 1 and the charm is from Whiff of Joy.The stamp is Penny Black and the sentiment is done on the computer. If you click on it you can see it better. I used a stamp designed by Gillian Roberts and the paper is My Minds Eye. I used my Martha Stewart Lattice Punch on the brown card behind the image which is hard to make out because of my photo. The gems are from my stash.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Over at the Penny Black Challenge the challenge is White on White. You are only allowed to use colour on your image. I used the snowmen image coloured with Promarkers and stamped on a layered nestability. I embossed the background card with the cuttlebug snowflake folder. The charm is from Whiff of Joy and the snowflake is also Cuttlebug die embossed with Heat n Stick and then Dazzling Diamonds on top. The snowflake punch on the corners is from Fiskars.

Its hard to see the punched corners in my card as I still haven't figured out how to take good pictures for my blog.

At Christmas a lot of my Mum's friends ask me for holy christmas cards so I made one today. I will have to make a lot more but at least this is a start.

I used my new Henry stamp from Whiff of Joy, he is so cute. The papers are from Yellow Bicycle , the poinsettia are from The Hobby House. Everything else is from my stash. The bauble and Henry's hat are glittered but its hard to make out with my photography skills.
